Shedd Aquarium 

The beluga whales and penguins at the Shedd Aquarium are so excited to be open to the public again! Be sure to purchase tickets in advance for a fun-filled day at the Shedd.

Art Institute of Chicago

The Art Institute of Chicago in Chicago’s Grant Park, founded in 1879, is one of the oldest and largest art museums in the United States. It holds an impressive collection that can’t be missed if you’re an art lover.

American Writers Museum

Learn something new and develop a greater appreciation for past and present American writers at the American Writers Museum. The museum is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Be sure to buy tickets in advance online to minimize contact with front desk staff.

Elmhurst History Museum 

If you live in the suburbs or are looking to take a trip outside of the city, visit the Elmhurst History Museum. Admission is free, but reservations are required in advance. This quaint museum is currently displaying The Great Midwestern Road Trip exhibit which takes visitors on a nostalgic journey visiting the Midwest’s iconic destinations in the post World War II era through the 1970s.

Illinois Holocaust Museum 

The Illinois Holocaust Museum reopened in mid-July. Whether you are a first time visitor or returning visitor, you will not regret this history lesson. Located a short drive north of Chicago, your trip to the Holocaust Museum will be worthwhile.
